Meet Leah
Hi! I’m Leah. Art has been my passion for as long as I can remember. My mother encouraged my artistic pursuits with an endless supply of crayons, markers, and other materials. That burning drive to create has never dwindled, and I paint almost every day in my home studio in Boston, MA.
You may be wondering why I chose pet portraits. It all started with Henry.
This is us together. Easy to see why this handsome boy quickly became my favorite model! He was my constant companion, whether curled up watching me work or bounding along by my side on endless adventures.
We lost Henry in 2018, but seeing this portrait – and countless others – never makes me sad. They’re a tribute to our bond and a celebration of the life that we shared.
That’s why I create portraits for fellow pet lovers. You understand the one-of-a-kind companionship and unwavering devotion that can only be shared between pets and their people.
My portraits capture more than just a moment in time. They capture your pet’s spirit, your friendship, and memories you’ll cherish for a lifetime.

art is a constant and central part of my life
I paint almost every day in my home studio in Boston, Massachusetts.
My love of creating began at a very young age, fostered by my mother, who made sure there were always crayons, markers and art materials available for my little hands. I'm thankful for her encouragement, and for facilitating my need to create.
Over the years, I've worked professionally as an artist, creating portraits part-time when I got home from work and on weekends. However, in January of 2014 I quit my day job and turned my passion into my full-time gig. It has been the best decision I ever made! Every single day I count my blessings - I paint adorable & very loved pets, while hanging out with my own pets.
Being a full time artist works my creative muscle every day, helping me perfect my techniques as a painter and portrait artist. Process, concentration, and the desire to create highly detailed paintings are all skills used and improved upon every time I sit down at my easel.
